Registered Respiratory Therapist - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour Shift (07:00 - 19:30) with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients. This includes administering therapies, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and medications to patients.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patients' respiratory status.
• Assist in intubation and extubation procedures as necessary.
• Implement and maintain mechanical ventilation support.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory care and equipment.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS certification required.
• Active New York State license required at submission.
• Experience in adult critical care and emergency settings preferred.
