Who We Are St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support accounts payable, purchasing documentation, vendor records, and the daily administrative operations of the Finance office. What You'll Do As our part-time accounting clerk, you'll help keep the numbers tidy and the paperwork in the right place. This entry-level role supports accounts payable so invoices move smoothly from "received" to "ready to pay", and our records stay clean and trustworthy. Responsibilities Review invoices and paperwork for accuracy and proper backup Enter accounts payable details into the system with careful data entry Maintain vendor files and basic finance assistant records Use spreadsheets to track items that need follow-up Communicate professionally while handling confidential information Required Skills Comfort with accounts payable basics and invoice review Strong organization and attention to detail Clear, respectful communication Pay: $17-$18/hour (depending on experience). Your Daily Flow You'll settle in onsite in West Ashley, start your checklist, and spend the morning matching paperwork so the accounts payable trail makes sense. As an accounting clerk, you'll bounce between the accounting system and spreadsheets, flagging anything that's missing (like a receipt or approval) and keeping vendor info current. Midday, you'll touch base with the Accounting Manager and other teams to clear up quick questions, then wrap up by organizing files for review so everything's easy to find later. It's steady, detail-focused work where small wins add up fast.
