PACU Registered Nurse South Glastonbury,CT, US Job Description Overview The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients throughout the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases of their surgical experience. This role will also rotate into the procedure room to support pain management cases. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in perioperative nursing, post-anesthesia recovery, pain management, and patient education, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting. Experience Mid Level Salary $40 - $55 per hour Job Details Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position (M-F, 5x8s) No weekends No on-call rotation Collaborative, professional ambulatory surgery environment Qualifications Current, unrestricted Connecticut RN license PACU or critical care nursing experience required Ambulatory surgery center experience is a plus Strong clinical knowledge and skills relevant to pre-op and PACU nursing Willingness and ability to learn procedure-room RN responsibilities Current BLS and ACLS certifications ASPAN/CAPA certification preferred Knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents, potential complications, and emergency response Strong communication and interpersonal skills A bit about us We're a successful and busy ambulatory surgery center, with multiple operating rooms, focused on providing exceptional care for our patients and a rewarding career for our staff.
