Location: Voorhees - 100 Bowman Drive Remote Type: On-Site Employment Type: Employee Employment Classification: Regular Time Type: Part time Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Total Weekly Hours: 18 Additional Locations: Job Information: Medical Technologist MT Part-time, Benefits Day shift - Hematology Lab Work Schedule: One weekend per month is required. Position requires rotation at Virtua Samson Cancer Center. Summary: Analyzes, interprets, and validates laboratory procedures of various complexities on biological material such as blood, body fluids, and tissues for Virtua customers. Position Responsibilities: • Performs moderate and high complexity testing accurately and precisely according to established procedure without direct supervision. • Post analytically, validates results using established indicators, investigates deviations from the norm, recognizes trends or shifts, and applies corrective action. • Performs, reviews and documents all quality control according to established policies and procedures. Performs pre-analytical processes including patient ID, phlebotomy, specimen labeling, specimen verification, receipt and shipment. • Correctly operates, maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment as required. • Provides Outstanding Customer Service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills. Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required: Minimum of externship in a CLIA laboratory. Good Interpersonal and time management skills. Required Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological or chemical science or another relevant field. Bachelor's in Medical Technologist with 4 years of hematology experience. Associates-HEW-MT Training/Certifications/Licensure: Valid certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent or meets CLIA '88 educational requirements for moderate and high complexity testing. ASCP certification preferred. Hourly Rate: $32.19 - $50.03 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
