Starting Pay $20/hour, plus incentives. Manager in Training Position Summary The Manager in Training position is an entry‑level management role. The primary responsibility is inspiring and leading associates to ensure we achieve Mike’s Purpose with every customer. Primary Responsibilities Execute the Mike’s Purpose and deliver on our Team Member Promise, acting as a role model for associates’ behavior and performance. Customer Satisfaction: ensure all customers leave satisfied by maintaining wash quality, staffing, and handling complaints professionally. Operations Management: assist the General Manager in achieving location goals and maintain all Mike’s Carwash standards and guidelines. Associate Development: complete orientation and training checklists, provide ongoing coaching and training, document feedback on performance and disciplinary items. Property and Equipment Maintenance: assist with maintenance and repairs, complete OPEX checklists, use the fix‑it book for repairs beyond scope, keep all areas clean. Personal Development: participate in a structured management training program and continue learning new skills. Comply with company policies and procedures. Complete other duties as assigned. Required Work Schedule Must work all scheduled shifts. Must work at least five days and 40 hours each week, including every other weekend (unless otherwise approved). Must close at least two nights each week. Must open one morning each week on your own (Monday–Thursday only). Work five days the week leading up to Christmas. Can transfer between stores within the market. Physical Demands This position requires verbal and written communication, hearing at a conversational level, vision for depth perception and color distinction, standing or walking continuously, occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movements, operating hand and foot controls, and lifting up to 50 lbs. for up to 3 feet. The employee may also repeatedly bend, kneel, balance, climb stairs or ladders occasionally. Work Environment The work environment may involve machinery with moving parts, wearing gloves, working outdoors with temperatures 0–100°F, working alone occasionally, and frequent use of chemicals with eye or hearing protection. Minimum Qualifications Reasoning and Development: ability to solve practical problems and implement appropriate solutions. Mathematical Development: score at least 80% on the Money Handling Skills Assessment without using a calculator.
