Process Operator - 1st or 2nd shift ($1,500 Sign-on Bonus)

The Chemical Process Operator The Chemical Process Operator performs all operating functions in the production departments and may train new associates when necessary. The position holder executes various factory jobs, meeting physical and skill demands. Responsibilities Produce blended flavors and flavor components in compliance with governmental, regulatory, company, and customer standards. Load and unload trucks and containers in accordance with safety and quality policies. Complete batch tickets, production orders, HACCP forms, SAP transactions, and shipping/receiving documentation accurately and on time. Inspect all outgoing containers for compliance with FDA, GMP, HACCP, customer, and company specifications. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment following NFI’s Safety, Quality, and other regulatory policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent reading, writing, and math skills for weights and measures. Certified forklift operator. 5-8 years of confectionery/food industry flavor‑blending experience. Basic Microsoft Office and SAP computer skills. Intermediate problem‑solving skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, DOT, FAA, and EPA regulations applicable to production and shipping/receiving. Ability to comply with HACCP and other quality assurance requirements. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of materials, tools, and ingredients (5‑55 lbs). Frequent standing, walking, gripping, and reaching. Occasional sitting, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus. Compensation The base pay range at commencement of employment is USD 22.50 – USD 30.93 (Illinois).
