About the Position

Job Title: RN - Med Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Telemetry Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. BLS Client Experience Description: This is a contract position for an RN in the Medical Surgical unit. The unit consists of 28 beds and has a staffing ratio of 5:1 to 6:1. Staff includes 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs on day shift. Night shift has 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs. The type of equipment used includes Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, and Telemetry. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates with 3 or more years of nursing experience in Epilepsy Care will be prioritized. Routine procedures are not typically performed on this unit. The ideal candidate should be open to feedback and possess an owner mentality. Dress code requirements include navy blue scrubs with the appropriate logo. This unit has a recognition for outstanding team dynamics and encourages a collaborative environment. New equipment and technology may be available to enhance patient care. Four weekend shifts per month are expected. No call requirements are associated with this position.
