This role ensures that all departments have adequate supplies to perform their duties efficiently. The Purchasing Agent will document all orders and follow-up through the Purchasing Help Desk.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneEssential Duties/ResponsibilitiesFollow the company’s policies and procedures for the purchase of goods and servicesProcess all supply orders for Medical, Dental and administrative officesCreate and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to solicit bids from vendors, ensuring the selection of suppliers that offer the best value for the companyActively seek and negotiate the best pricing and terms with vendors to optimize cost savingsCreate cost comparison reports and make recommendations based on determined cost/benefitVerify pricing accuracy and address any discrepancies found on vendors’ websites, invoices, or quotesEnsure the Purchasing Help Desk is provided with accurate information and approvals to process ordersAudit packing slips provided by users through the Purchasing Help Desk for accuracyMaintain effective communication with colleaguesProvide excellent internal and external customer serviceOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent oral and written communication skillsEffective interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy with an analytical focusSelf-motivated and goal orientedAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentEducation and Experience:Proven work experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar roleExtensive knowledge of vendors and purchasing proceduresHands-on experience with purchasing softwareSolid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct analysesPhysical Requirement:Requires extended periods of sitting and computer use #J-18808-Ljbffr DAP Health
