Forklift Operator

Location: Altavista, VA
Employment Type: 10-Month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $15.55–$16.55/hour, paid weekly
Overtime: Hours worked over 40 per week are paid at time-and-a-half

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support our client’s material handling and warehouse operations in Altavista, VA . This position is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks and lifting equipment to load, move, and position materials.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to gain additional experience in a warehouse or industrial environment while working on a 10-month W2 contract .

Key Responsibilities

• Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks and forklifts.
• Use lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets to safely move materials.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and positioning materials as needed.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures and operating guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and materials while operating machinery.
• Support general warehouse and material-handling activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year of previous relevant experience.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, operating instructions, and workplace guidelines.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in an industrial environment.

Contract Length: 10 months
Location: Altavista, VA
Employment Type: W2 contract only; no C2C or B2B arrangements
Pay Rate: $15.55–$16.55 per hour with weekly pay
Overtime: Hours worked over 40 per week are paid at time-and-a-half
