Position Title: Multi-Specialty Practice Manager

Summary :

The Multi-Specialty Services Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of one or more behavioral health service lines, including diagnostic services related to autism spectrum disorder. This position ensures exceptional patient and family experiences while driving operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and staff engagement. The Practice Manager partners closely with clinical leadership to create an environment that supports high-quality clinical outcomes and sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrates innovation in business development, excels at developing people, and uses data to drive decision-making.

This leader will be responsible for setting key performance metrics and driving outcomes, ensuring all clinical and operational goals are achieved.

Position Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Performance Management

• Provide direct operational supervision, coaching, and performance management for Clinical Psychologists in the ABA diagnostic practice.
• Collaborate with business development team members to identify market opportunities for new clinical services, including developing ROI based case studies.
• Monitor clinician productivity, quality metrics, and caseload management.
• Growth & Business Development
• Support new clinic openings and expansion initiatives.
• Build relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• Assist with marketing and community outreach activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient access and clinic growth.
• Foster a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and professional development discussions.

Clinical Quality & Compliance

• Establish and maintain diagnostic assessment standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Ensure evaluations are conducted using evidence-based assessment tools.
• Review diagnostic and clinical reports for quality, consistency, and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Support calibration and inter-rater reliability efforts across clinicians.
• Monitor adherence to clinical documentation standards and timelines.
• Partner with Clinical leaders and BCBAs to support delivery of high-quality clinical services.
• Coordinate operational support for treatment planning and patient scheduling.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration.

Operations & Service Delivery

• Oversee evaluation scheduling, waitlist management, and clinician capacity planning.
• Track and report key performance indicators, including evaluation volume, report turnaround times, family satisfaction, and clinician productivity.
• Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, support revenue growth and the overall family experience.
• Partner with outreach, intake, and operational teams to improve access to services and reduce wait times.
• Identify workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and the overall family experience.
• Assist with planning and implementation of service expansion initiatives.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention psychologists and other clinical practitioners.

Family Experience

• Ensure families receive timely communication and support throughout the diagnostic process.
• Address escalated concerns and partner with clinicians to resolve service issues.
• Promote a compassionate, family-centered approach to diagnostic assessment services.

Financial Management

• Manage service line P&L performance and achieve established financial targets.
• Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and operating expenses.
• Analyze key operational metrics and develop action plans for improvement.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Optimize scheduling to maximize revenue while maintaining clinical quality.
• Partner with payor relations team members to ensure contractual rates are aligned with eligibility and requirements.

Strategic Initiatives

• Collaborate with senior leadership on program development, growth planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging research and best practices related to autism assessment.
• Support organizational goals related to access, quality, and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations, practice management, or clinic management experience required.
• Experience leading teams in healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, or ABA setting preferred.
• Experience managing provider schedules, productivity, and operational performance metrics.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives and driving operational outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Knowledge of behavioral health, psychological services, or ABA operations preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make operational decisions.

Lighthouse Autism Center also has full-time Speech-Language Pathologists on staff who provide co-treat and consultative services speech therapy services to children who attend the centers.
