Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe patient environment. PCTs also participate in patient education and support, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for patients and their families.

• Key Responsibilities: 

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) 

• Monitoring Patient Status 

• Maintaining a Safe Environment 

• Assisting with Procedures 

• Patient and Family Education 

• Emotional Support

• Documentation 

Requirements and Qualifications 

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred 

• Acute Care hospital experience preferred

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is located on a 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County. The surrounding areas include Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee.
