Technology Intern

ZGF is seeking a Technology Intern to join our team in our Portland office. We are looking for a curious, motivated, and collaborative student with an interest in software development, web technologies, and creating tools that improve the design process. This paid internship is an opportunity to gain real world experience developing internal applications, web based tools, and plugins that support ZGF's design and technology teams. As a Technology Intern, you will Be part of a collaborative team focused on innovation and technology Assist with the development of web based applications and internal software tools Contribute bug fixes, enhancements, and new features for existing applications, including our Django based platform, zgf.ai Develop and maintain plugins for design software platforms Write clean, well organized code while following software development best practices Collaborate with designers, architects, and developers to turn ideas into practical solutions Learn through hands on project work, mentorship, and regular feedback Support technology initiatives that improve project delivery and design workflows Minimum Qualifications Current enrollment in a college or university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field Experience with Python Basic understanding of web development concepts Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience using Git for version control Ability to follow technical documentation and setup instructions Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new technologies Ability to work collaboratively and accept constructive feedback Desired Qualifications Coursework or project experience using Django, Flask, or another Python web framework Familiarity with relational databases and SQL Experience with GitHub or GitLab Basic understanding of APIs Exposure to testing and debugging practices Experience with PostgreSQL, Django REST Framework, Docker, or command line development workflows Interest in architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), design technology, or developing internal software tools Base Salary Range $26/hr Apply With Cover letter Resume We know that great projects take more than a design team to become a reality.
