School Psychologist

Position Type: Certified/ General - Certified Reports to: Director of Student Services and Accessibility Employment Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Certified (Fair Labor Standards Act) Qualifications A valid license in school psychology issued by the Ohio Department of Education or the Ohio State Board of Psychology At least two years of successful school psychology experience is preferred Satisfactory criminal background check in accordance with Ohio law Performance Responsibilities Conducts intensive psycho-educational evaluation of individual children Submits a written report delineating the results of the evaluation and maintains psychological case files Serves as case manager for evaluation of students, and consults with administrators regarding due process requirements Participates as a member of the evaluation team for students suspected of having a disability Serves as a consultant in the development of the individualized educational program (IEP) as needed Assists, as requested, in implementing or modifying instructional strategies, classroom management procedures, intervention strategies, and follow-up activities Consults with the Director of Special Education to assure effective communication of needs, issues, and future trends for planning purposed Keeps abreast of new developments in the field through a program of continuing professional education Assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned Note: The above lists are not ranked in order of importance.
