Principal RPA & AI Automation Engineer (No C2C)

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Principal RPA & AI Automation Engineer to join their team. As a RPA Engineer, you will be part of the Automation Services department supporting enterprise automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, innovative thinking, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title Principal RPA & AI Automation Engineer Location Laurel, Maryland Pay Range $74-80/hr depending on years of experience What's the Job? Design and implement scalable, resilient automation frameworks and enterprise solutions, including AI‑driven capabilities where applicable Architect end-to-end automation solutions across business processes, infrastructure, and testing domains Produce and review solution design documentation (PDD, SDD, DSD) ensuring alignment with standards Own the automation platform ecosystem (UiPath and related tools) including performance, availability, and scalability Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve automation issues to ensure business continuity and system reliability What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 5–8+ years of experience in automation engineering, RPA, DevOps, or test automation Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript Experience with UiPath (preferred) or similar RPA platforms (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) What's in it for me?
