Lead Project Engineer

Job Title: Senior Project EngineerLocation: Fayetteville, NCSalary: $100K-130K plus bonusJob Summary of the Senior Project Engineer: As a key player in the Engineering team, the Senior Project Engineer will analyze data and create innovative strategies to enhance production processes, increase efficiency, cut costs, and eliminate waste. This role involves leading medium- to large-scale projects or managing vital components of complex initiatives.Duties & Responsibilities:· Create engineering plans, material specs, and project cost estimates.· Conduct research, feasibility studies, and design validations.· Ensure designs comply with standards, validate field work, and generate as-built drawings.· Review engineering submissions for accuracy, coordinate with vendors, and manage project timelines.· Oversee layout planning and utility requirements with vendors and contractors.· Review consultant work, maintain documentation, and monitor project installations.· Conduct project planning, define scope, prepare proposals, and assess bids.· Provide regular status reports, assist with contract administration, and monitor project budgets.· Manage project budgets to achieve financial goals.Education & Experience Requirements:· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent.· Knowledge of food processing engineering, preferred.· Strong project management and construction scheduling skills.· Project Management, Contract Administration, and National codes and standards skills.· Proficiency in engineering economics and AutoCAD.· 50% travel for collaboration required.· Collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possesses excellent analytical and teamwork skills.· Works effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
