This position requires a sound understanding of department subject matter including application support and training, as well as knowledge on general operational and industry questions. This position will require collaboration among team members, branch office personnel and Stifel clients to provide a high level of customer service under direct supervision while following established procedures. While not required, this position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States to assist with onboarding and training new Financial Advisors.What We're Looking ForAccurately provides phone support with a high level of customer service while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelinesIdentify potential problems or issues that fall outside of standard procedures and provide leadership with ways to improve operational efficiencyDevelop effective communication skills within the department, Stifel Branch Personnel and to key stakeholdersProvide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadershipDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other areas in the firmManage higher level and sensitive information with ability to keep record of caller interactionsProvide the highest quality of customer service through written and verbal communicationsMaintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward callers and promote team collaboration at all timesAssists with transitioning Financial Advisors to the firm which includes processing client mailings, training and answering questions regarding the onboarding processWhat You'll BringStrong organizational skills with the ability to follow up on open tasksProfessional phone contact, strong communication and active listening skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectivelyAbility to utilize sound judgment in order to assist with more complex issues with the ability to disseminate relevant information to leadershipSound understanding Stifel's applications, industry rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department and Stifel's branchesAbility to assist with testing applications and upgrades as they become availableWorking knowledge of financial services applications, systems, terminology and procedures and ability to adapt to these changesAbility to assist in training both new and existing associates on departmental and branch processesEducation & ExperienceMinimum Required: Bachelor's Degree and/or 1+ years Stifel or career equivalent experienceMinimum Required: 1 - 3 years' professional business related experienceSystems & TechnologyMicrosoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and ExcelThomson One, BETA experience beneficial #LI-AS1About StifelStifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
