Publishing Operations Manager

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Publishing Operations Manager. Summary: We are seeking a highly organized Publishing Operations Manager to oversee operational workflows, contracts, payments, vendor management, and administrative processes supporting publishing, content, and talent-related initiatives. This role serves as a central point of coordination between internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure projects, agreements, and operational activities are executed efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage contracts, onboarding, invoices, payments, and operational documentation
• Coordinate agreements and related workflows from initiation through execution
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Operations, and external stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of contracts and deliverables
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, contacts, invoices, payments, and supporting documentation
• Monitor deadlines, milestones, deliverables, and payment obligations
• Manage invoice intake, processing, tracking, reconciliation, and payment workflows
• Serve as a primary point of contact for operational inquiries and issue resolution
• Develop, maintain, and improve operational workflows and business processes
• Prepare and maintain project trackers, reporting tools, and operational dashboards
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal departments to support day-to-day operations
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and enhance reporting capabilities
• Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned
• 4+ years of experience in publishing, media, entertainment, operations, project management, or a related business environment
• Strong organizational, project management, and workflow coordination skills
• Experience managing contracts, invoices, payments, and administrative financial processes
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet-based reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through capabilities.
