Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse is looking for a Director of First Impressions to join our team. No hospitality experience is required. We hire character first and teach the rest.

At Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse, we believe great hospitality begins long before someone takes an order or delivers a meal. It begins with the person who welcomes every guest through our front door. We can teach our systems, reservations, seating charts, and Utah liquor laws. What we cannot teach is integrity, kindness, work ethic, accountability, or the desire to improve. That's why we hire for character first. We look for people who are hardworking, punctual, honest, kind, self-motivated, dependable, intelligent, coachable, professional, respectful, and team-oriented.

This isn't "just a host." You are the Director of First Impressions. Every guest who walks through our doors will decide within moments whether they feel welcome. You set the tone. You create the energy. You control the flow. You become the calm, confident face of the building-even during the busiest Friday night. Great Directors of First Impressions don't simply greet guests. They anticipate needs. They solve problems before they become problems. They communicate clearly. They protect the guest experience. They make everyone feel like they belong.

Responsibilities include welcoming every guest with genuine hospitality and professionalism, creating an outstanding first and last impression for every guest, managing reservations, wait lists, and seating with confidence and urgency, verifying identification and ensuring all guests meet legal requirements for entry into the bar, scanning every guest's ID using our electronic verification system, communicating wait times honestly and professionally, observing the lobby and entrance, recognizing potential issues before they escalate, using calm, respectful de-escalation techniques when situations arise, communicating effectively with servers, bartenders, managers, and kitchen staff, maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance at all times, and assisting wherever needed to help the team succeed.

No experience is required. We believe hospitality can be taught. Character cannot. We'll gladly teach someone who is eager to learn, willing to work hard, and committed to becoming better every day. The right candidate is friendly without being fake, confident without having an ego, organized under pressure, calm during busy shifts, dependable enough that teammates know they can count on you, someone who notices what needs to be done before being asked, and someone who genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome. Open availability-including evenings, weekends, and holidays-is highly preferred.
