Mental Health Coordinator

In our organization, these professionals are placed in the position of Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature within the facility. The successful candidate should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with job requirements:

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans tailored to inmate needs and levels of functioning.
• Document treatment activities and evaluations meticulously in the health care records.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theories and techniques through treatments and activities used for individuals on caseload.
• Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address inmate needs.

Additional Details:

• Work days can be 1st or 2nd shift, 8-hour shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
• The initial contract duration is 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week; candidates must maintain open availability for scheduling as per client needs.
• Current/active CA license is required; must hold either LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• US citizenship required for ICE clearance, which is anticipated to take 4-6 weeks to obtain. Candidates can start once ICE clearance is received.
• Candidates will undergo a thorough background and credit investigation for clearance.
