Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator Profession: Mental Health Specialty: LPC, LCSW, LMFT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Five (5) years of clinical experience, including two (2) years in a comparable job position. License: Must possess appropriate LPC, LCSW, LMFT certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs. Certifications: A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute. Must-Have: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a degree in a related clinical area. Current/active CA license. US Citizenship required for clearance. Description: In this position, the Mental Health Coordinator will plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility. The successful candidate should be able to perform all functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements. Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews. Provide treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning. Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each individual seen. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through treatments and activities used for individuals in the caseload. Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of individuals. Candidates must have open availability for scheduling as needed. Candidates will be subject to thorough background and credit investigations for clearance. ICE clearance is required and may take 4-6 weeks to obtain. Can start as soon as clearance is received.
