Other duties may be assigned.Procurement & Supplier ManagementLead and oversee all purchasing activities including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier selectionEvaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, reliability, and technical capabilityNegotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractorsManage supplier performance, including issue resolution, non-conformance, and corrective actionsEstablish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and bidding guidelinesEnsure timely procurement of materials and services to support production and business needsDevelop and monitor procurement reporting systems and KPIsPlanning & SchedulingLead development and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS)Ensure MPS aligns with forecasts, backlog, material availability, capacity, and business objectivesTranslate MPS into material requirements and capacity plansCollaborate with operations and value stream teams on rough-cut capacity planningMonitor and adjust plans based on demand changes, constraints, and supplier performanceDrive delivery assurance and on-time customer performanceInventory & Materials ManagementOversee inventory levels, turns, and obsolescence mitigation strategiesAlign procurement and planning strategies to optimize inventory while supporting productionMonitor material availability and mitigate shortages or excessCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, finance, and commercial teams to align supply chain strategiesParticipate in customer delivery and operations review meetingsCommunicate risks, constraints, and recovery plans to leadershipDevelop staffing and resource plans to meet future demandLeadership & Team ManagementLead, develop, and manage purchasing and planning teamsHire, train, and mentor team membersAssign responsibilities and monitor team performanceFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaborationDrive process improvements across procurement and planning functionsSupervisory Responsibilities: Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the buying function. Also directly supervises 10-20 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
