About the Position

Seeking a Locum Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide psychiatric care in an adult residential treatment setting in Tucson, AZ.

• • • Immediate start as soon as credentialed
• • • Local provider preferred
• • • Adult patients age 18+
• • • Average patient age in the 30s and 40s
• • • Both new & established patients
• • • Approximately 28–30 patients for a full time provider
• • • Multidisciplinary clinical environment

• • • Conduct psychiatric evaluations & follow up assessments
• • • Provide medication management
• • • Develop & monitor treatment plans
• • • Provide psychiatric follow up treatment
• • • Participate in treatment team meetings
• • • Provide therapy as appropriate
• • • Complete clinical documentation
• • • Round on assigned patients approximately once per week
• • • Conduct additional visits when clinically warranted
• • • Collaborate with nursing, therapy & medical staff
• • • Work alongside other onsite providers

• • • 40 hours per week
• • • Option for 5 eight hour days or 4 ten hour days
• • • Monday through Sunday coverage structure
• • • No scheduled on call
• • • Assignment: September 14, 2026 to October 16, 2026
• • • Start as soon as credentialed

Requirements

• • • MD or DO
• • • Board Certified preferred, not required
• • • Relevant psychiatric experience accepted
• • • Active Arizona medical license
• • • BLS certification required
• • • Suboxone certification preferred but not required
• • • Residential or behavioral health experience preferred
• • • Telehealth experience not required
