About the Role:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments within a warehouse environment. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and documenting materials, verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing and packaging outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position is vital to ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders
• Document received materials accurately and update inventory records
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments efficiently and correctly
• Coordinate outbound deliveries to ensure timely dispatch
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support warehouse operations
• Support inventory management processes, including stock organization and counts
• Ensure all shipments meet quality and safety standards
• Operate forklifts (if trained and certified) to move materials as needed
• Communicate with team members and dispatch to facilitate shipment scheduling
• Support other warehouse tasks as directed by supervisors

Required Qualifications:

• Previous shipping & receiving or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 20 lbs consistently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• General warehouse knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience

Tools / Equipment / Systems:

• Pallets and packaging materials
• Inventory and shipping documentation tools
• Forklift (experience a plus)
