Direct Counsel is seeking a Data Centers + Digital Infrastructure (Energy) Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm with a sophisticated energy and infrastructure practice.

Position Overview

The attorney will advise clients on sophisticated energy regulatory matters, power markets, infrastructure transactions, and the rapidly evolving intersection of data centers, digital infrastructure, and energy.

The role will involve advising data center developers, hyperscalers, and large energy users on matters involving digital infrastructure, co-located generation, large-scale energy procurement, and related regulatory and transactional issues.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of significant law firm experience in energy regulatory law, power markets, infrastructure transactions, or related energy matters.

• Experience advising data center developers, hyperscalers, or large energy users.

• Experience with digital infrastructure, co-located generation, or large-scale energy procurement.

• Experience with regulatory proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state public utility commissions, and appellate courts is preferred but not required.

• Strong business sense with the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and concisely.

• Strong work ethic and collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Austin, TX: $260,000-$390,000
Denver, CO: $260,000-$390,000
New York, NY: $260,000-$390,000
San Francisco, CA: $260,000-$390,000
Washington, DC: $260,000-$390,000

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus and comprehensive health and welfare benefits. Compensation may vary based on factors including market data, skills, prior relevant experience, degrees, licensing, and certifications.
