About the Role Maverick Power is looking for a detail‑oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Team Lead. The Warehouse Team Lead responsibilities include counting and balancing merchandise, making lists of products in stock, and identifying any discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week so that they can be prevented from happening again. Ultimately, you will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment, and supplies as needed. The Warehouse Team Leader will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. Key Responsibilities Assists with hiring and training of team members. Oversees the daily workflow; oversees scheduling and assignments of the assigned team. Ensures inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and order of the warehouse. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Ensuring that work is performed safely, and that proper use of PPE is adhered to in the area. Leads by example through 5S Methodology. Ensures that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments. Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks, conveyor equipment, and specific portions of tractor-trailer and over-the-road trucks. Inspects quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team. Verifies that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures. Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives. Maintains detailed and accurate work records. Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas. Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees. Orders new equipment as requested by management. Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory. Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits. Operates forklift truck when necessary. Communicating with management about any inventory issues. Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment. Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience in the manufacturing warehouse field. Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors. Basic understanding of inventory control procedures. Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Ability to motivate a team to accomplish objectives. Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform the physical labor necessary. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time. Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work at heights for extended periods. Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside. Work Environment May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
