Desktop Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Desktop Engineer to support enterprise endpoint management, application deployment, and advanced desktop engineering initiatives. This individual will act as a Tier 3 escalation resource, leveraging Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, and application packaging expertise to support and enhance the end-user computing environment.

Responsibilities

Administer and support endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune.

Package, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise applications.

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system administration.

Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex desktop, application, and endpoint issues.

Support device lifecycle management, patching, and desktop engineering projects.

Partner with Infrastructure and Security teams to maintain endpoint standards and best practices.

Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in Desktop Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, or a related role.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune.

Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

Experience with application packaging and deployment.

Proven Tier 3 troubleshooting experience in an enterprise environment.

Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and endpoint technologies. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience with endpoint management platforms and modern device management solutions.

Experience implementing and supporting security policies and compliance standards.

Microsoft endpoint management certifications are a plus.
