As a Lab Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in the laboratory testing process by efficiently and safely collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations. Responsibilities:

Draw high-quality blood samples in accordance with established protocols, ensuring patient safety and specimen integrity.

Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing promptly and accurately.

Maintain detailed documentation of all specimen collections and related activities.

Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming environment.

Follow all policies related to confidentiality and privacy of patient information.

Collaborate with clinical team members and supervisory staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Perform additional duties related to specimen processing and record keeping as directed.

Required Skills:

Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric patient samples.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform error-free work.

Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with electronic data entry and laboratory documentation.

Demonstrated professionalism and organizational skills.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including potential weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.

Nice to Have Skills:

Certification in phlebotomy (especially in states where required, e.g., California, Nevada, Washington).

Medical assistant, paramedic, or related healthcare training.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment within retail or service sectors.

Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and specimen handling techniques.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 6 months of professional phlebotomy experience; 1+ years preferred.

Prior customer service experience in a clinical or retail setting.

Data entry and record-keeping skills.

Other Requirements:

Availability during standard business hours (7:00 AM–4:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

Flexibility to fulfill staffing needs, including on-call and overtime duties.

Certification in phlebotomy preferred; required in specific states.

Ability to work in a physically active role, including standing for extended periods and occasional lifting.

Compliance with all safety standards and confidentiality protocols.
