Continuously demonstrates a strong work ethic by exhibiting an indisputable drive to get the job done.Results: Consistently going above and beyond to deliver exceptional results and value for the team and the organization.Duties & Responsibilities:Manage, mentor, train and develop the accounting staffProvide accounting support to the management team and billing support for tenantsAnalyze monthly property operating statements and work with property management to identify and explain causes of variancesEnsure all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports are prepared in conformance with US GAAP and are consistent from period to periodReview monthly cash flow forecasts prepared for monthly management reportingContinuously improve through automation, improved processes and efficient procedures the accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of information provided to stakeholdersRemain current on new and evolving changes in US GAAP and analyze the impact of those changes on the CompanyReview accounts receivable and ensure that the level of the provision for doubtful accounts is reasonableSelection Criteria Job Requirements (Skills/Abilities): Strong communication skills (written and oral), self-confidence and ability to evaluate and articulate decisions in a concise, coherent fashionDemonstrated ability to train, mentor and develop staff with superior leadership and managerial skillsStrong leadership with the ability to work well with external constituents and internal employees from different function areasEntrepreneurial and an outside the box mindsetStrong level of financial acumen and high level of analytical abilityDemonstrated integrity and the ability to communicate a clear set of values and high standardsProactive, collaborative and a team-oriented professionalResults-oriented, deadline-driven and a commitment to excellenceOrganized, level-headed, and fact-basedExperience: 10 to 15 years of relevant accounting experience5 years of public accounting experience5 years of managerial experienceStrong knowledge of applicable accounting standards, financial statement preparation and SEC reporting requirementsEducation / Licenses / Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingCPA required$280,000 - $325,000 a yearThe actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
