Tax Senior Associate / Tax Accountant (CPA)
Location: Birmingham, AL
Job Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities- Prepare complex tax returns for a variety of entities, including:
- S-Corporations
- C-Corporations
- Partnerships
- Nonprofit organizations
- Review income tax returns prepared by Associates and provide guidance and feedback.
- Assist in coordinating tax engagements, including client communications, staffing requirements, documentation, and project timelines.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues and collaborate with senior team members to develop effective client solutions.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced staff members on engagements and special projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients and attract new clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Active CPA license required.
- 2–5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a focus on taxation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and observation skills.
- Sound professional judgment and skepticism.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, staff, and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , including Word , Excel , and Outlook .
- Experience with tax and accounting software preferred.
