Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) provides direct patient care and supports nursing staff, residents, families, and other departments to ensure individualized and optimal care. This role involves patient assessments, documentation, communication with nursing staff regarding resident conditions, and assisting with daily living activities. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential to effectively support resident care and facility operations. Responsibilities:

• Receive and give report on residents' conditions to ensure understanding of care to be given.
• Make rounds on each resident, assess new residents and those who are ill, have fallen, or sustained injuries.
• Document assessments according to facility policy.
• Notify nurses of any changes in residents' conditions or needs.
• Assist with direct patient care and promptly respond to call lights.
• Promote good working relationships with other departments, co-workers, residents, families, and physicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current California CNA license.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic patient care skills in a SNF environment.

• Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care facilities.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.

• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
• May be required to float to other units as necessary.
• Work environment includes residents with varying levels of care needs.

• All shifts available, including day, evening, and night shifts.
• Shift assignments may include weekends and holidays.
