Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $10,010 - $11,850

• Schedule: 1 week per month (5 days on campus, weekend on-call)

Required Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
• Active or eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
• Valid DEA registration
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric pulmonology experience; fellowship-trained preferred
• Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology (3 years preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient, outpatient, and on-call coverage for pediatric pulmonary patients
• Perform and supervise bronchoscopy procedures and other airway evaluations
• Manage ventilator support and non-invasive/invasive ventilation strategies for newborns and pediatric patients (acute and chronic)
• Conduct intubations, conscious and deep sedation, and line placements (central and arterial)
• Participate in ICU consults as needed and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Perform diagnostic procedures and bedside interventions (lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, chest tube management, needle decompression) and interpret imaging and EKGs
• Manage phone consults and follow-up communications (average ~4 per day)
• Perform minor surgical procedures as appropriate and participate in specialized pediatric studies (e.g., swallow studies)
