Product Security Engineer

Salary: $109,900 - 171,800 per year Requirements:

• We want a Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Engineering, or another related technical discipline, along with 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• We expect experience in computer and network security.
• We expect experience in computer networking administration.
• We expect hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
• We expect experience in software application testing and maintenance.
• We expect experience in cybersecurity risk assessment.
• We want experience with enterprise computer network infrastructure.
• We strongly prefer security-related certifications such as CISSP.
• We prefer OS certifications, such as Windows or Linux, and networking certifications, such as Cisco.
• We prefer experience in the healthcare industry, whether with a provider or a medical equipment vendor.
• We consider experience in medical information system administration desirable.
• We consider software verification in a regulated industry desirable.
• We consider familiarity with PACS, DICOM, ASTM, HL7, EMR, EHR, and medical informatics desirable.
• We consider technical support experience for field service or end users desirable.

• We monitor the cybersecurity landscape for newly identified threats and evaluate the risk to our products.
• We perform and document vulnerability assessments against malicious attacks and support our product teams.
• We help product development teams address security and network vulnerability issues.
• We develop, run, and automate test procedures to qualify operating system patches and anti-virus software in a lab setting.
• We educate our sales and service teams on network security and virus protection topics.
• We work with software engineers to define and implement security requirements.
• We collaborate with Engineering and Field Service resources to qualify our networked products and meet customer expectations for equipment performance.
• We troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to networked, computer-based products.
• We travel to our offices, training sessions, and customer sites as needed.
