CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic operating room environment. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting, handling a variety of complex cases.

Job Description

The CVOR RN will be responsible for circulating duties, with a preference for candidates who possess knowledge across multiple specialties including cardiac procedures. You will be expected to assist in the operating room and contribute to patient care during surgical cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room and ensure optimal patient care.
• Assist with a variety of surgical specialties, particularly cardiac, ENT, and robotic surgeries.
• Participate in team meetings and in-service training as scheduled.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of care.
• Maintain thorough and accurate record-keeping using the EPIC EMR system.

Shift Details

• 4–10 hour shifts, variable days and start times: Monday through Friday.
• Start times are typically consistent within a week, with specific timings at 0630, 0900, or 1100.
• Tuesdays and Fridays may have later start times due to team meetings and in-services.
• 7 call shifts are required over a four-week schedule, with weekday and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR nursing.
• Current BLS certification and Washington or Compact license required.
• Experience with DaVinci Xi robotic systems in gynecological, urological, and general surgeries is mandatory.
• Knowledge of common cardiac surgery procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, and complex valve repairs.
• Preferred candidates will have scrub skills and the ability to float and circulate in additional specialties such as GYN, vascular, orthopedic, and neuro.

Additional Information

Orientation will be provided, including training on EHR and unit procedures. The team consists of supportive healthcare professionals dedicated to teamwork and education. Travelers have shown a tendency to extend their contracts due to the positive work environment.

Dress code adheres to AORN standards, with teal scrubs provided. A call room will be available for on-call staff, who are expected to respond within 30 minutes.
