CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operating room procedures, particularly in cardiovascular operations, and demonstrate the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and skill.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, primarily focusing on complex cardiac cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and others.
• Possess the ability to float and circulate in other specialties as needed, including GYN/Uro, Vascular, Plastic, Orthopedic, Neuro, and General surgery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and circulating duties within the OR setting.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with surgeons, anesthesia, and other OR team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and in-services, typically scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and WA or Compact License required.
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi surgical systems is mandatory.
• Knowledge of ENT procedures is essential.
• Preference given to candidates with a diverse background across multiple surgical specialties.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply; however, a strong clinical background in similar environments is highly regarded.

Additional Information

• Shift scheduling is fixed with consistent start times each week; no self-scheduling allowed.
• Weeknight call rounds will be integrated, requiring a 30-minute response time.
• Orientation involves 5-10 days of training that include both HR and unit-specific protocols.
• Teamwork is highly encouraged, with support and mentorship readily available for travelers.
