Junior Accountant

Junior AccountantCFS is partnering with a well-established organization in the trucking industry in the Halethorpe area. Due to a vacancy, they are looking to bring on a Junior Accountant to work in-office. Schedule: M-F, 40 hours a week, 1 hour lunch. Duration: contract-to-hire, depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business. Pay: $25-28/hr – depending on experience.Overview of the Junior Accountant role:Perform accounting functions supporting a fleet of 500+ trucksAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processingRecord daily entries and execute reconciliationsMaintain records related to depreciation and amortizationMonitor fixed assetsAssist with preparation and submission of government tax filingsSupport cycle counts and verification of physical parts inventoryAssist with preparation for year-end audit for the leasing entitiesMonitor and maintain filing system for leasingProvide front desk coverage for approximately one hour per dayQualifications for the Junior Accountant:1+ years’ accounting experience; Anyone from recent accounting/finance grads with no experience to experienced Accountants with 5 years or less of experience is encouraged to apply!Accounting, Finance, or related degree preferred (or equivalent years of experience)Prior experience in a dealership or transportation-related setting is a plus, but not requiredProficient with Excel and WordDetail-oriented, curious, and eager to learnStrong time management and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCustomer-service mindset and strong communication skills
