Job Description

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive patient care in a medical-surgical unit with a focus on a variety of diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, acute mental status changes, GI bleeding, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6-8 during nights.
• Titrate drips as necessary and monitor patients for various medical conditions.
• Record vital signs, administer medications, and assist with daily living activities.
• Collaborate with a charge nurse and support staff to provide optimal patient care.
• Participate in floating to other medical/surgical units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a current RN License and BLS certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Experience with titrating heparin, bumex, and lasix preferred.
