Youth Apprenticeship - Physical Therapy Aide

Beloit Health System is looking for a Youth Apprentice to join our Team! Shift: Various Shifts Available Schedule: Varied Hours per week: Per Diem/Flexible Benefits Status: Not Eligible Department: Beloit Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy This Per Diem Youth Apprenticeship - Physical Therapy Aide is located in Beloit, WI. The Youth Apprentice will support healthcare professionals, gain hands‑on experience, and contribute to patient care. Responsibilities include: Practice infection control and safety Set‑up treatment area Assist in explaining treatment to patient Position client on therapy equipment Measure vital signs Assist patient with range of motion exercises Assist client with prescribed exercise program Assist client with gait training Administer active and passive treatments Clean and restock after procedure Maintain inventory Apply compression stockings and/or tubi‑grips Use isolation techniques Qualifications Must be a current high school student, 16 years of age or older Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment Basic understanding of medical terminology (helpful) Behavior and Attitude The mission of Beloit Health System requires the employee to perform in a manner which ensures delivery of the highest quality of medical services at an economic value and at the highest level of patient satisfaction.
