Location: Ketchikan, Alaska

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $132 - $142/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:

Provide outpatient Family Medicine services as an MD in an outpatient clinic setting

Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on an 8-hour daily shift schedule

See an average of 16-18 patients per day across all age groups

Work independently, as the provider will be working solo

Perform desired procedures including skin excisions/punch biopsies, Nexplanon and IUD insertion, cryotherapy, and toenail evulsions

Demonstrate involvement as an admitting physician for at least 20 patients during the past two years as part of required clinical activity documentation

Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation and charting

Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirement with no exemptions

Hold or be actively pursuing state licensure, with licensure highly preferred at time of start

Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Fulfill both clinic and hospital privilege requirements as applicable
