Imaging Coordinator

Location: Bedford, TX

Compensation: $20-25 an hour + benefits (DOE)

We're seeking an organized, patient-focused Imaging Coordinator to support the daily operations of a busy diagnostic imaging center. This role is responsible for coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, managing patient registration, and ensuring all documentation is complete before each exam.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate patient referrals from receipt through completed examination
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
• Enter and maintain accurate patient information in PACS/RIS
• Review daily schedules to ensure exam readiness and efficient workflow
• Provide patients with appointment instructions and preparation details
• Verify physician orders and referral documentation before appointments
• Register patients, collect required forms, and verify demographic information
• Answer calls and assist patients, providers, and legal offices professionally
• Coordinate Letters of Protection (LOPs) and personal injury documentation
• Communicate with attorneys, case managers, referring providers, technologists, radiologists, billing, and medical records
• Support medical records, report distribution, and image access requests
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging center, medical office, or personal injury/legal environment
• Experience using PACS/RIS or electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging workflows, medical terminology, and Letters of Protection (LOPs)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
• Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
