Legal Secretary – Litigation

A well-established Washington, DC law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in a busy and sophisticated practice. Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and practice support to multiple attorneys.
• Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, and competing deadlines.
• Prepare, revise, proofread, and format correspondence and other legal and business documents.
• Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
• Process expense reports and assist with other administrative and financial tasks.
• Maintain electronic files and assist with document and matter organization.
• Enter and review attorney time as requested.
• Assist with client-related projects, presentations, research, and other practice needs.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, staff, and outside contacts.
• Handle additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Several years of legal administrative and some litigation experience in a law firm environment.
• Experience supporting attorneys with active litigation or other deadline-driven practices preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Outlook.
• Excellent proofreading, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Dependable, responsive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
