Accounting Manager

Position Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, manage reporting cycles, and partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Production, and Ecommerce teams. This role reports directly to senior leadership and plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and providing financial clarity across departments. Key Responsibilities Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Analyze margins by channel (Wholesale, DTC, Retail) Monitor inventory valuation and COGS Support budgeting and forecasting processes Operational Accounting Manage AP, AR, and general ledger functions Supervise cash flow planning and reporting Oversee chargebacks and deductions from major retailers Ensure proper revenue recognition across wholesale and ecommerce channels Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Manage and mentor accounting staff Partner with Production & Sourcing on landed cost analysis Work with Ecommerce on payment reconciliation, returns accounting, and sales tax Support Sales with commission calculations and reporting Collaborate with external CPA firm and banking partners Process Improvement Identify inefficiencies and implement automation where possible Improve reporting dashboards and KPI visibility Strengthen inventory and operational accounting workflows Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of accounting experience (apparel, consumer goods, or ecommerce strongly preferred) Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost analysis Experience with ERP systems (Apparel ERP experience a plus) Advanced Excel skills Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Strong communicator with the ability to partner across departments What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who: Takes ownership and thrives in a leadership role Is proactive, not reactive Understands both the discipline of accounting and the realities of operating a product-based business Can balance accuracy with speed Is comfortable working in a growing, evolving organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Karen Kane
