AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our Mining Project Delivery team in support of mining projects. Job Summary/Responsibilities - Provides project leadership in the areas of instrumentation & controls, engineering and design, investigations, analysis on multi-disciplinary mining projects. - Serve as lead I&C engineer or discipline lead on mid-size to large projects. - Coordinate and direct staff on designs, specifications, drawings, figures, reports and calculations on multi-discipline design efforts.

- Work with existing and potential clients to provide instrumentation & controls, engineering and design solutions on mining projects. - Develop project proposals and work with mining business leader to support and grow the Mining practice. - Provide direction and mentoring to technical staff in completing project tasks. - Write technical scopes of work, specifications, design/check P&ID's (including instrumenting P&ID's, and adding control and interlock notes), data sheets, architecture drawings, functional descriptions, instrument index, loop sheets, interconnection diagrams, instrument location plans, I/O lists and cable schedules. - Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. - Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts. - Present complex technical solutions to clients. - Perform independent technical reviews of engineering documentation and sign off on work performed. - Equipment bid package development, analysis, purchase order management and vendor drawing review - Serve as primary point of contact with the client and develop client relationships - Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering project, focusing on the I&C designs of mine projects. - Provides advice and consultation to clients on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. - Valid U. S. Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications - PE in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, or ability to acquire a PE in those states.
