Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary The Facilities Maintenance Technician will serve as a key team member who will report to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible for a wide variety of general repairs and services. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Electrical (ballasts, bulbs, parking lot lights, troubleshooting outlets, and identifying and resetting tripped breaker) Plumbing (general plumbing including repairing leaking faucets, replacing washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment, snaking/cleaning clogged drains) Painting (brush and roller applications, plaster, drywall repair, interior and exterior jobs) Doors (metal/wood, closers, hinges, sweeps, etc.) Furniture (repair, drawers, adjustment, assembly) Additional Duties Include Moving items as needed (e.g., furniture, file cabinets, boxes, etc.) Delivery of office and building supplies to the correct departments and locations Small appliance and equipment installation Assist Facilities Manager and others on special projects as directed by Manager Responsible for the timely completion of all assigned facility work order requests Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned Education / Experience High school diploma. Some technical / college education or a minimum of five years of work experience in facility maintenance field. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Computer skills including Microsoft Suites and facility management software Effective communication skills Ability to read, write and speak English Teamwork mindset Ability to multi‑task Basic safety knowledge Maintain a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality Physical Demands Required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, taste or smell Frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus May be required to periodically carry items weighing up to 25 pounds Work Environment Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
