Premier Staffing Unlimited is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This position will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations through invoice processing, vendor management, payroll support, and maintaining accurate accounting records.

The ideal candidate will have prior accounts payable or accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the construction industry, Sage 300 CRE, and job cost coding is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect invoices and payment requests received through email and mail
• Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and coding requirements
• Enter invoices and payment requests into Sage 300 CRE
• File and maintain accounts payable records and supporting documentation
• Process accounts payable transactions and scheduled vendor payments (typically weekly)
• Maintain vendor records including:
• W-9 documentation
• 1099 settings
• Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for subcontractors
• Payment and contact information in Sage 300 CRE and Procore
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain organized transaction records for audit purposes
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related financial roles required
• Construction industry accounting experience preferred
• Experience using Sage 300 CRE preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Reader
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and efficient 10-key ability
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and improve processes
