Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need experience in SRE, DevOps, production engineering, or a similar discipline.
• We require hands-on experience running Kubernetes workloads, including deployments, scaling, and debugging.
• We expect practical production experience with AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.
• We value experience with CI/CD and release tools such as Spinnaker and/or Harness.
• We need proficiency with Terraform and scripting or automation in Python, Bash, or Go.
• We look for strong incident response capability, RCA writing, and the ability to drive remediation work.
• We require solid knowledge of Linux, networking, and distributed-systems troubleshooting.
• We need the ability to independently deliver well-scoped reliability work and escalate when appropriate.
• We expect working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the workplace, with strong validation habits and sensitivity to data handling requirements.
• We require the ability to validate AI-assisted operational recommendations before making changes and to escalate when uncertain.

• We own production reliability outcomes by tracking operational health, identifying risks early, and driving fixes.
• We define and refine SLIs and SLOs, manage error budgets, and improve alerting so it is actionable and less noisy.
• We enhance observability and troubleshooting across Kubernetes and AWS by improving metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and runbooks.
• We lead incident response and problem management, including on-call support, mitigation, recovery, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
• We operate Kubernetes workloads, including autoscaling, rollout and rollback procedures, resource tuning, and resilience patterns.
• We run AWS container and serverless components with an emphasis on scale, retries, and safe failure behavior.
• We improve release engineering and delivery reliability using Spinnaker and Harness.
• We build infrastructure as code and maintain Terraform modules and automation for consistent environments.
• We strengthen database and data-service reliability across technologies and services such as DynamoDB and S3.
• We embed security and control requirements into our operational processes.
• We lead small to medium initiatives end to end, from proposal through production adoption, while using approved AI capabilities to accelerate triage and reduce toil.
