Managing Attorney – Family Law

Full-Time | Hybrid

Base Salary: $175,000–$210,000 + Bonus & Origination Incentives

J. G. Boyd Law, LLC is seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to provide legal leadership for our growing Georgia family-law practice.

The Managing Attorney will work directly with the Managing Partner to supervise and develop the legal team, strengthen legal strategy and quality control, oversee complex matters and ensure our clients receive consistently excellent representation.

What You’ll Lead

• Supervise, mentor, and develop family-law attorneys and paralegals. 
• Provide legal strategy and quality control across active matters. 
• Review significant pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement positions, and litigation strategy. 
• Identify case risks and ensure issues are escalated before they become emergencies. 
• Lead and support complex divorce, custody, legitimation, support, contempt, modification, and related domestic-relations matters. 
• Handle and supervise hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trials. 
• Assist with attorney caseload management and court coverage. 
• Establish clear expectations for attorney responsiveness, deadlines, client communication, and case ownership. 
• Provide timely feedback, coaching, and accountability to the legal team. 
• Partner with the Managing Partner on legal standards, strategic matters, and continued growth of the practice. 

What We’re Looking For

• Active Georgia Bar membership in good standing. 
• 5+ years of meaningful Georgia family-law experience. 
• Significant experience independently managing contested domestic-relations matters. 
• Strong Georgia Superior Court litigation experience. 
• Demonstrated experience with hearings, trials, mediation, discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations. 
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and strategic judgment. 
• Prior supervisory, mentoring, team-lead, or management experience. 
• Excellent deadline, calendar, and client-management discipline. 
• Ability to delegate effectively while maintaining appropriate quality control. 
• Professionalism, accountability, responsiveness, and sound judgment. 

Compensation & Benefits

• $175,000–$210,000 base salary , commensurate with experience and demonstrated leadership ability. 
• Monthly performance bonus opportunity. 
• Origination incentive on collected fees from the first matter of attorney-originated clients.

Hiring Process

Our selection process includes an HR screening, substantive family-law assessment, leadership interview, reference checks, and a final interview with the Managing Partner.
