Construction Manager

The Construction Manager is responsible for managing large-scale electrical field service projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout. This role oversees project planning, execution, safety, budgeting, scheduling, and customer communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements.

The Construction Manager serves as the primary liaison between customers, operations, engineering, subcontractors, and internal teams while driving project performance and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage projects through all phases including planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and closeout
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and project schedules
• Lead project meetings and communicate updates, risks, delays, and action plans to stakeholders
• Track project budgets, costs, change orders, forecasts, and profitability
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, engineering, and contractual requirements
• Monitor project progress, KPIs, schedules, and documentation
• Support field teams with technical coordination and operational planning
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Support continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of project management experience in electrical, industrial, utility, construction, or EPC environments
• Experience managing field-based electrical or power system projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field preferred
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project execution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification and/or PE license
• Experience with substations, transmission systems, high-voltage equipment, testing and maintenance services, or industrial power projects
• Experience in oil & gas, utility, industrial, or construction environments

Work Environment
