Engineering Clerk

Job Description BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Engineering Clerk at our White Oaks General Office Building in Bridgeport, WV. Responsibilities Prepare material requisitions using the applicable ordering system. Receive, circulate, track and file information related to capital projects. File and maintain company records such as engine books, job books, pipeline pockets, topographical maps, microfilm records, engineering drawings, vendor catalogues, work order completion notices, well plats, DOT inspections, encroachment reports, flight logs, R/W agreements, road bonds, etc. Maintain and generate reports from various electronic databases such as drawing index, gate assembly index, microfilm index, vendor catalog index, aerials, regulator and relief valve, electrical, technical, compression problems, etc. Maintain, verify and/or prepare records, reports, statements, invoices, vouchers and the like as required. Perform routine clerical duties including the operation of typical office equipment. Provide guidance to, assist, and/or train other employees in the performance of assigned duties as required. Perform other duties as required in higher or lower classifications. Operate computer equipment and utilize new technologies as required. Perform required duties in accordance with applicable contracts and agreements, state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. Qualifications Minimum 3 years clerical experience Documented MS Office experience Preferred Working knowledge of Oracle Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Your resume should reflect knowledge of): Proper punctuation, spelling and grammar Ability to use various office machines (personal computer, scanner, copier, adding machine, calculator, fax machine, etc.) Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and to have effective interpersonal skills. Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Test Description Must pass Clerical Aptitude and Clerical Computer Skills tests.
