MRI Technologist - Part-Time

MRI Technologist - Part-Time - Days/Evenings FLEX Roles and Responsibilities Complete all steps involved with MRI exams, including documentation of patient history, tech info, contrast info, and IV injection info, and scanning paperwork packs into the system. Follow all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients. Consistently follow patient identification policy: label syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials; follow all P+P regarding use of ISTAT per sites worked. Demonstrate knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physicians' instructions. Assess stock levels and enter stock/pantry orders in computer system. Required Skills and Experience Education : Minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences. ARRT Certification in MRI. Licensure : ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and New York State license; must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection on or before completion of the introductory period. Experience : Preference for two years' experience, but new graduates are welcomed. Preferred Skills and Experience Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volume. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for long periods while performing MRI studies; ability to push MRI equipment throughout the hospital for patient transport. Location and Travel Requirements Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Dr, Ithaca, NY. The position may be scheduled at the Main, East, or Cortland campuses. Shift: Part‑Time – Days/Nights Flex. Anticipated schedule 12:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., Monday and Tuesday; rotating weekends and flexibility to take rotating call as required. 0%–5% travel may be expected. Pay Range Disclosure Standard rate of $31.25 to $50.48 per hour plus benefits.
