Roles and Responsibilities Completes all steps involved with the exams including documentation of patient history, tech info, contrast info, and IV injection info, and scans paperwork packs into the system. Follow all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients. Consistently follow patient identification policy: labeling syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials. Follow all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (Per sites worked). Demonstrate knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physicians instructions. Assess stock levels and enters stock/pantry orders in computer system. Required Skills and Experience Education: Minimum of Associate’s degree, Radiologic Sciences program. ARRT Certification in MRI. Licensure: ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and NYS license. Also must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection, on or before completion of introductory period. Experience: Preference of two years’ experience, but new graduates welcomed. Preferred Skills and Experience Problem solving ability and attention to detail. Good written and oral communication skills. Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/sit for long periods while performing ultrasound studies. Ability to push ultrasound equipment throughout hospital for bedside testing. Location and Travel Requirements Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850. This position will be supporting patient needs throughout our Healthcare System, and may be scheduled to work at our Main, East, and/or Cortland Campuses. Shift: Full-Time - Days/Evenings, Flex. Anticipated schedule within Operational Hours of 6:30am-11pm M-F and Saturdays 6:30am-7:30pm. Rotating weekends and call. Ability to flex according to patient and department needs. 0%-5% Travel can be expected in this role. Pay Range Disclosure Standard Rate of $31.25 to $50.48 per hour plus benefits.
